Art Vision has organised the 19th Sangam festival at Rabindra Mandap on the 7th of October. The Art Vision repertory group presented two new productions choreographed by Dr Ileana CItaristi. The first one 'Make Room for Elephants' was inspired by the homonymous poem by Ruskin Bond on the need to restore the natural habitat to the elephant world. The second one 'SHARIRA' describes in the first segment how beautiful a woman feels when she adorns herself with all sort of ornaments, attire and dresses and in the second half it narrates the ordeal experienced by two women who were disrobed and paraded naked in Manipur.
The guest group was the Dasyam Centre for Mohiniyattam directed by Guru Gopika Varma. They presented 'Kandein Swapnam' about dreams and their importance on our daily life.
