The festival has been conceived as a homage to Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra on the eve of his death anniversary .Some of his senior most disciples who have learnt directly from him in the early 80’s perform every year some of his exclusive choreographic compositions in their original version.
On the 7th April 2012 Art Vision organized Remembering Guruji on the occasion of Guru Kelucharan Mohaptra 8th death anniversary. This year it has been decided to revive one of the many dance drama choreographed by him. The choice has fallen on the Kishori Chandrananda Champu which has been composed by the Guru in April 1983. With music by Pandit Bhubaneswar Mishra, the ballet deals with the eternal lovers Radha and Krishna and with the go-in-between Lalitha who brings the two of them together after their separation In this version the roles of Krishna is played by Pranaty Mohanty, that of Radha by Nandini Gosal and of Lalitha and Bishaka by Ileana Citaristi and Itisri Panda.
